On July 1, 2025, the group standard Technical Requirements for Plant Monitoring Based on UAV Hyperspectral Remote Sensing — jointly compiled by Hangzhou Hyperspectral Imaging Technology Co., Ltd. (HHIT) and approved for release by the China Inspection and Testing Society (CITS) — was officially promulgated, taking effect today. This standard is a technical document that regulates the application of UAV hyperspectral remote sensing technology in the field of plant monitoring, providing an important technical basis for precision agriculture and ecological research.
The standard Technical Requirements for Plant Monitoring Based on UAV Hyperspectral Remote Sensing specifies in detail the technical requirements, monitoring procedures, data collection specifications, plant information extraction methods, as well as data organization and result reporting for plant monitoring using UAV-mounted hyperspectral imaging equipment. It is applicable to professional agricultural fields. The implementation of this standard will strongly promote the standardized and large-scale application of UAV hyperspectral remote sensing technology in areas such as crop growth assessment, early warning of plant diseases and pests, stress physiology monitoring, and ecological environment investigation, while improving the efficiency and accuracy of large-scale dynamic plant monitoring.
